Kerala, often called "God's Own Country," is a breathtaking tapestry of natural beauty and cultural richness. It’s relaxing backwaters, with serene lagoons and lush palm-fringed shores invite visitors to unwind on traditional houseboats. Sprawling tea plantations and misty mountains make for the perfect romantic backdrop. Kerala was the first place we thought of when deciding on wedding venues and we are so thrilled we could make it happen. We are elated to share this beautiful place with the people we love most, on our special day.
TRANSPORTATION
Transportation will be arranged for you. After exiting the airport, look out for our wedding team representative who will be holding a sign marked ‘Shreeya & Rishi’s Wedding Party’. They will provide you with a luggage tag and can arrange a porter to assist with loading your luggage into the taxis.

ACCOMODATIONS
Upon arrival to the venue, you will be escorted to your rooms.
We have arranged a permanent helpdesk at the lobby of the hotel for your convenience. They will be able to assist with any general enquiries, including assisting with the hotel check-in process and coordinating logistics.

1. Do I need a Visa to enter India?
To enter India, your passport must have an ‘expiry date’ at least 6 months after the date you arrive
If you do not have an Indian Passport or an OCI, you will need to apply for a visa to enter the country. Please make sure you apply in advance as it can take some time processing.
British passport-holders can apply here for the visa application
Canadian passport-holders can apply here for the visa application
2. What is the closest airport and how will I get there?
The closest airport is Mangalore Airport which is a 2-hour drive to Taj Bekal. Taxis will pick you up and be stocked with beverages and snacks to enjoy.
There are nonstop flights from Mumbai (1hr25mins), Delhi (2hr55mins), Bangalore (55mins) and Chennai (1hr40mins).
There are no direct flights from Indore.
If you are flying from Canda or the UK, we recommend using Mumbai or Delhi as your port of entry as there are no direct flights to Mangalore from these international destinations.
3. What will the weather be like?
January is during the dry season, which stretches from December to February. The weather in January is pleasant and dry, although warm, with average temperatures of 24 degrees.
