Wedding Party
Suneet Jain
Father of the Bride
This is not the first time this Dad is getting one of his children married; although it will be his second rodeo, you might still see him doing rounds of the premises making sure everything is running smoothly. If you can’t find him, he will either be on the dance floor or being Shreeya’s emotional support buddy (his favourite role).
Tania Jain
Mother of the Bride
In true Punjabi nature, this lady thrives at weddings; entertaining guests, forcing you to eat more and making sure the kids are drinking enough water (in between other liquids). She gives the best hugs, so make sure to squeeze in a cuddle.
Tulasi Chinta
Mother of the Groom
Tulasi has 2 beautiful sons, but she has always wanted a daughter, who she is thrilled to have now! One of the rare wedding party members who can speak English, Telugu, Hindi and Tamil, you can have a conversation with her in any language.
Malleswararao Chinta
Father of the Groom
As cool as a cucumber, nothing could phase this man. He’s not so much an ‘Uncle’ as he is an older boy, so you might catch him at the bar with Shreeya & Rishi’s friends, sipping on Brandy, making jokes and dancing to the newest Telugu bangers.
Shreeja Jain
Sister of the Bride
The eldest sibling and leader of the pack, Shreeja is the ultimate referee in the Jain family when Monopoly nights go haywire. A devout vegan who only breaks the rule for Indian sweets, don’t question her when she is enjoying some kulfis in the corner.
Ragan Jain
Brother of the Bride
We were thinking of hiring a comedian for the wedding but remembered we have Ragan! Make sure he is well-fed and well-caffeinated for some of his best content. As the last standing member of every after-party, can you dethrone him from the title?
Charan Chinta
Brother of the Groom
Those of you that were at our civil ceremony this summer in Toronto will know Charan was the mastermind behind the celebration. This time around, we have hired wedding planners so he can finally relax and let his hair down. However, if anything goes wrong…. you know who to call.
Ruchir Shah
Brother-in-law of the Bride
The sweetest family member and an all-round stand-up guy, Ruchir is a Finance Bro by day and Ranveer Singh by night. The most organised of the children, you can count on him for making sure the events start promptly. (Until the girls ruin that timeline…)
Yashvi Modi
Sister-in-law to be of the Bride
The smallest of the clan often has the biggest personality, and this one is no different. Yashvi is a little sweet, a little sassy and the first to lose her phone. Her small purses surprisingly fit all the essentials you might need: Lip balms, lipsticks and lipglosses. DUH.
Ludo Jain-Chinta
A mischievous 15-month golden retriever who resides with Shreeya & Rishi in Toronto, Ludo has become the greatest gift for the couple since the day they rescued him. A true Jain-Chinta, Ludo is a foodie who loves Medjool dates, Gorgonzola cheese and Parle G biscuits. Sadly, he won’t be accompanying us for the wedding, but rest assured he will be running around Trinity Bellwood’s with his many dog friends playing in the snow. By the end of the trip, you will be sick of hearing his name as he is all we talk about.
